Wholesale pricing?

Hi all:
I'm curious to know from any dealers or casebreakers who have wholesale accounts whether the pricing of cases through wholesale distributors (like GTS, Southern Hobby, etc.) is any better than that offered by large discount retailers like blowout or Dave and Adam's. I've heard that the pricing may not be that much better, particularly when you consider that most retailers these days have free shipping and I don't know if wholesale distributors.
I am wondering if it makes it worth the trouble to get a sales tax license in order to order wholesale for selling at card shows and maybe occasionally online.
Thanks for any help with this!

At the time of release it is cheaper to buy from distributors for panini products than blowout. Distributors can sell panini at dealer direct cost. I believe topps is cheaper than blowout too, but dealers get better prices ordering direct from topps than from the distributor. I think distributor prices include shipping
And all the hot cards wont be hot anymore.
