September "Specials"

Wow, just looked at these. PSA must be really swamped because they obviously are not seeking new submissions. The highest prices ever!

$7 bulk special for 100 cards or $8 for 50 cards is a better deal than the specials.

$12 for 30 - day turnaround compared to $10 bulk rate. Not sure how that even qualifies as a special.
It remains puzzling to me. Just from a sampling of people on this board, myself included, they'd clean up on a special around six dollars. Hopefully that is not just a dream in ever hitting that pricing again.
They are still busy with all the National submissions. I like to see a bulk special at 6.50 for 100.
They had $5.50 for 50 card minimum at the Long Beach Coin show, back in February, wish they would bring that back.
Not sure how backed up they are, but I have a couple large orders subbed on April special I'm still waiting for, so they must have quite a pile they're working through.
I'll be on the sidelines for a while. I'm still waiting for a better deal and it looks like I might be waiting for a long time.
Subbed from April ??? Still waiting ?

Yup. 2 different orders on April special (though not logged in officially until early May)
So what business day are you on ?

Not sure how many days were not business days for the National. If I block out several for that too, it is probably in the upper 70's. I've had a couple orders reach the low 90's before, but I hoped that was the exception rather than the coming trend.
90 days on a 50-day special? Seriously?
Are you including any cards that are not in the registry or that require additional attention from the research dept?
That is usually the reason for a sub to take as long as that one to pop.

You can reach the PSA customer service department Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm Pacific Time. In the United States call toll free at (800) 325-1121.
I'm very familiar with that. I most recently checked in a couple weeks ago, and they said it would be another week. So yeah they're a week past when they said, but I will continue to check with them if I don't see anything by close of business tomorrow.
Nearly every order I send in includes items that are not yet in the registry or require additional attention. I always include with my submissions the URL's from reliable sources for checklists, publishing information and other relevant identifying facts and history on the items for any that would fall under that description. I'm used to my orders taking a little longer than if they were all easier material, but most of the time they only take 10 or 15 extra business days and I'm typically patient during those extra couple weeks, but when exceeding 65 business days I start to get a little bit anxious. I'm happy to provide the research legwork as I much prefer a longer wait to get it done as opposed to them being returned N9 and then me having to resub them again and get behind another 4 months or more.
Yeah, sometimes 90+ business days can happen, though it is rare. If you get into extremes like that, you can usually call and request a voucher though.
That explains the much longer wait time. For a normal submission of cards, that aren't obscure or oddball examples that have never been graded before, there's no way it would go 90 days.

Followup: Both popped yesterday, business day 79 from login.
You must be a saint. No way that day 79 is acceptable in any way, shape or form. That is just horrendous business policy and customer service. Zero chance I would tolerate that unless they promised that the entire submission would be free. What kind of compensation did they give you?
I am curious how many people on this board would accept that without out going nuts and basically cancelling their membership. In a service industry most companies would be out of business very quickly if that happened on a regular basis.
Late 60's and early to mid 70's non-sports
To be fair, though, this is not a standard PSA submission but requires research to be conducted before the cards are even sent to the grading room as there are cards within the sub that are examples that have never been graded previously. There is no way a standard PSA card submission would ever take 80 days.
