Got this in the mail a couple of days ago, and haven't paid for it yet. I've been after this coin for several months and now it is in my possession. Not sure how much it is worth, so not sure if I am paying too much. In hand, it is lightly toned, extremely flashy and seems quite a bit nicer than my Teutonic 1T and 2T (all 3 coins are with Archduke Maximilian as Grandmaster of the order).

My friend (the seller) bought it from the HA January 2010 sale, lot 3008: 1614 Teutonic 3T.

Teutonic Order. Maximilian of Austria 3 Taler 1614, Davenport 5854A, MS63 NGC, tag only (too thick for the plastic holder.) Extremely attractive with silvery-gray cabinet toning and sharply defined features. The edge is slightly crude due to the thickness of the flan. Rare and desirable in this select quality.

How does one get a hater to stop hating?
