David, can you check to see if the 1982 boxes are X-outs?
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
X-outs are boxes marked with an X on the lid to denote final sale from Topps of boxes that were returned to Topps by retailers for credit.

I think a box like the one with Ozzie showing would have been nice to have a one pack limit to give more people a chance at jumping in on that...however, this is coming from a guy on the outside looking in. With that said, It was my fault for not checking the page sooner to see the live break feed.

So I'm a bit confused about the cases breaks where entire boxes are available but are not labelled FASC. Are the cases not sealed?
Several of the cases were purchased by BBCE unsealed so they cannot be called FASC. The only FASC cases are the 1979 Topps BB Rack Case and the 1981 Topps FB Rack Case.

I appreciate this feedback.
In the future I'll try to be more cognizant of a situation like this. I included so much product that I honestly didn't even think of setting special limits on specific products with special situations like this. My apologies for the oversight.

No chance Dave can try to forecast specifically what might be of more interest than something else. It's hard enough to put together this amazing geoup rip factoring in rules etc.
What Dave did here is remarkable and incredibly kind and I'm glad you realize that it was your fault that you didn't get a certain item from the rip, not Dave and his format/rules.

I've participated in other group rips here and know how much of an undertaking it is. I appreciate Dave's dedication to this. Even to the point where I gave up my 78 cello box last time, so it could be broken into packs to make room for more people to join. Dave does a great job and I appreciate it, that's why I didn't make a big fuss, just brought it up. Regarding forecasting certain boxes, I think a box with a HOF RC showing is a pretty easy one to forecast. If we got the 78 box with Molitor showing, it would have been the same thing. Just my two cents, and happy to participate in these rips when I can.
is there any difference between a red label and clear label? 1981 football grocery rack
I have to much S**t; so if you working on sets or are a player/team collector, send me your want list, with conditions desired. Keep in mind I have a another job so please allow me a few days to respond.
Lot = 1981 Topps Football Wax Box (36 packs) offered in this break at $30.00/pack ($1080 total)
and
Lot = 1981 Topps Football Wax Pack (36 pack lot) offered in this break at $24.88/pack ($895.50 total)
Is the first offering FASC while the second is not?
In the end, If we need to do a shuffle on these to close out the $30 per pack box, you can move mine from the $24.88 per pack group to the $30 per pack group. I would much rather be into the packs for $24.88 each, however, if moving helps close out an item, then feel free to take that liberty and let me know.

My understanding is the the $30 packs are from what BBCE believes is an intact wax box. The $24.88 packs are group of 36 "loose" packs that BBCE has asssmbled. I have no idea how many sources these 36 packs came from. It could be as little as two or as many as thirty-six.
In that timeframe there was no collation being done at Topps (ala 86 Fleer basketball) so in my opinion I have no issues taking packs from a lot versus from an intact box. Others feel differently and want packs from an intact box.
This is my interpretation based on the website descriptions provided by BBCE.
Anyone on the boards ever interested in group breaking some relatively newer stuff? I'm not sure what newer cases BBCE has but I wouldn't mind adding some bowman boxes, heritage, or something like that to the stash as well. Just curious if anyone dabbles in new unopened.

No reason we can't include newer unopened in a break. Mostly vintage fans here over the last few years, and limited supply so that's why we tend to stick with the older stuff

Thx Tim for the explanation to someone who is a greenie when it comes to unopened...
Umm, what happened to the actual group break thread??
Oops, looks like it was moved to top!!
Way up top...pinned announcement

Is there ever enough board interest in group-rip hockey boxes besides just 1979?
