PSA Hall of Famers

So a while back, I decided to take my collection in a different direction. I started selling off everything post 1980. I started buying only PSA Hall of Famers, in grade 5 and up. I'm keeping my complete sets but everything else goes. My rational was that I'm getting older and literally have hundreds of thousands of cards and when I stroke out, my kids will have an easier time if they choose to move these cards. Undecided on my unopened stuff. Anyone else make a change similar to this ?

I've narrowed my focus. I was doing hof psa registry rookies and key Detroit rookies (billy sims, Lou Whitaker, etc) from 1976 and later for bb, bk and fb. But I realized I didn't really care much about many of the cards (offensive linemen, guys like eckersley and sutter, etc). So I'm just picking cards I really want.

Outside of my Chet lemon basic topps registry set I'll probably end up with about 50 and have about 15 more to go. When I complete that I can always go back and fill in the gaps. I also collect a little bit of modern but I'm just speculating at this point.

I have a pretty narrow focus, I collect graded Dallas Cowboys cards. Specifically, the Ring of Honor rookies, HOF Cowboys rookies and All Time Cowboys rookies and player runs of some of the Doomsday I and Doomsday II defenses. There is a good bit of overlap in the first three sets. I have a couple Cowboys team sets, but don't think I will start any more. I'm working on the 1969 Topps football set in a mix of graded and non graded. I stick to that focus or its too expensive. I have done Cowboys modern, but not much. I sent most of my collection from when I was young to commons4kids.org. I still have a number of complete sets, however I've been going through, making the nicest set, keeping HOF and rookies and donating the rest. Slow process.
