Picked up a collection on Sunday with some 8 reales in it, figured I'd share.

They're going into acetone in a few minutes.

Bonus; a 2 Reales and a 5 Franc.

    Supply and demand.

'Great Historic Pieces' can mean 'You can't throw these away, but I've seen better'.

The Five Francs is best from point of condition, followed by the Guanajuato coin.

Guanajuato and Zacatecas were churning out mountains of silver and silver coin at this time.

My eyes focused in on the MOL totally missing 'Libertad' on the cap (and the lack of detail on a large area of the eagle's breast and right leg) on the Zacatecas, although that could well be how it was made.

But, if I were liquidating a small collection, I would likely try to find some way to keep three of the four coins shown here.

Would they display better with a white background? To me, the black accentuates the black on the coins. Nice coins!

The 1836 piece could be promoted as a coin that could have been carried by someone during the war for Texas independence. Texans would like that.

Those early Cap and Rays are super neat.
