1826 Half Cent - counterstamped "RD"
Sharp coin that has been counterstamped twice with the letters "RD" using a prepared punch.
Guaranteed genuine.....$80

1878 Large Cent S-187 Type II
This one has been in my collection for many years. Attractive NGC XF40 with a large rim cud on the obverse rim at 3 o'clock. Medium brown color and sharply struck. Scratches are on the holder, not the coin.......$1750

1830 Houck's Panacea Bust Half Dollar -- HOLD
Graded PCGS AU55. Only a handful of Bust Halves with the Houck's counterstamp are known to exist in AU.
This one has nearly full luster on both sides and is very flashy.
The counterstamp is double struck, with remnants of the first strike evident near Liberty's chin.
According to my research, this example is the highest graded by PCGS.
Here's what I have found for auction results of high grade Bust Halves with the Houck's counterstamp:
1818 NGC 45 $2820 Stack's 8/13
1822 raw AU55 $3450 Stack's 9/10
1829/7 NGC AU50 $3055 Stack's 8/13
1830 NGC AU53 $2938 Stack's 8/13
1832 raw 45 $1380 ANR 03/06
1833 NGC AU58 $1528 Heritage 10/16
1835 raw AU58 $1840 Stack's 07/08
1835 raw AU55 $2990 Stack's 09/10
Asking......$HOLD.

1838 Reeded Edge Half Dollar
This is a raw coin that has great original color on both sides. I haven't submitted this piece for grading but my guess is that it would grade UNC details (It was probably lightly wiped ages ago). You have to tilt the coin just right under a bright light to see the evidence. Still a very nice example of the reeded edge design.......$810
.....................................
1856 $5 Gold
This one has seen its fair share of use. There are a number of ticks and such on the obverse, while the reverse has fewer marks. There are no repairs, holes, plugs etc. Guaranteed genuine......$400
