Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Just heard about this. Really said news. Will always be a Red Sox to me even though he was only around for a couple of years.
.
When he was with the Angels, he hit a ball harder than any other I've ever seen. It was a line drive up the middle, but it just kept rising, kind of like a Tiger Woods 1 iron, til it cleared the fence in center still rising as it went over the wall.

Not only was he a very good player he later trained the younger generations how to play and act in a professional manner. RIP
One of my favorite modern cards is the 1983 Topps Baylor, great swing !
Man could he hit a ball along way. Very sad RIP.
He helped fourteen organizations in MLB from player to manager to hitting coach. Even stole over fifty bases one year! RIP one time all star.
Loved the guy as a huge Yanks fan growing up in mid 80s. Tho as a skinny dude in little league never did try to emulate his ability to stand in and take the pitch off the forearm. Instead I would lead the league in hitting batters.
RIP #25
Don Baylor was a classy guy....I am proud to have his signed autobiography in my collection..
RIP Groove!
