What is an Official Rookie Card?

J817J817 Posts: 1

When trying to add a card to a Dak Prescott rookie set composite, my request was denied because it wasn't an "official rookie card". Could someone explain to me what qualifies a card to be the player's official Rookie card? I have been collecting for years and I have never heard of this.

Check on Beckett. If it has the "RC" tag/icon, it's an official rookie... if not, they won't consider it one.

tried to request a basic nolan ryan rookie set and got denied as well, which i found odd. considering there are 4 legitimate versions to his '68 rookie card:

The Nolan Ryan OPC and Topps are considered official RCs, the other 2 don't appear to be (why? Ask Beckett!). I'm surprised they denied, versus creating the set but only putting those 2 in it.

can someone provide a direct link or email to either beckett or scd to inquire about the veni and the mb?

i think psa will recognize if either of these will confirm the other two, right?
