1981 Topps Football Wax / 1981 Topps Football Cello / 1984 Topps Football Wax *false alarm

There has to be some way we can coordinate this? Who normally does these things?

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but all 3 of these seem to be great value for an FASC box. If for some reason we cannot coordinate, we can even do a $50ea 1981 cello pack break.

Too bad those 84's have the dreaded X out.

Sorry, not FASC labeled or I would have purchased them or coordinted a break.

Darn really. So these were unsealed cases? Or is the case just for the camera appeal?

Sorry guys for jumping the gun.

I believe they were unsealed cases. BBCE had them at the National.

I think the 1984 is a sealed case of resealed boxes.

They may not be as "pretty" as the non X-out boxes, but X-out boxes from a sealed case are just as "fresh". I think most collectors are not aware that the return Topps offered back then was only offered to large merchandise outlets and distributors. Full cases had to be returned in order to qualify for this offer. Most of these were full cases that never sold and were returned to Topps for credit at the original cost - Topps then opened the cases, marked each box, re-sealed the case and re-shipped them at about $2/box. The misperception is that these x-outs are somehow "frankenstein" boxes.

Agreed. If you're going to rip these, they are fine and will have good chances for major players.
