Few Pickups from National and Florida Supercon - Added Pics
I attended Florida Supercon and wow, what an event. Wearing my Captain America t-shirt, I was sorely under-dressed as more than 50% of the attendees had on amazing costumes and outfits. My favorite was a young kid, must have been 6 or 7, wearing a perfect Halo Master Chief outfit walking around like a boss. I spent more time staring at the people than the actual items for sale. I made a few offers on some CGC comics, but nothing panned out. I ended up getting this custom Storm Shadow pencil work done by Jason Sobol. He's done artwork for various shows and companies, including Topps.
My favorite pickup was this 6" Perly Pixel Wolverine. The 8-bit video game vibe is awesome and it looks great in my shoe room.
I was unable to attend the Nationals, but I managed to pickup a couple of things. First is this old cardboard box.
My other pickup will be here in a few days. Overall, it was fun to have both events so close together. Between Facebook, YouTube and the amazing posters on this forum, I felt like I was at the Nationals.

The biggest lesson I've learned in this hobby, and in life, is that if you have a strong conviction, you owe it to yourself to see it through. Don't sell yourself, or your investments, short. Unless the facts change. Then sell it all.

Just got this from the Post Office today. The box is so crisp and sharp, it is almost unreal to think it is over 30 years old. Thanks again to Steve Hart from BBCE for making the deal happen. He is a class act, stand up person. Between this box and the original 1986-87 Fleer case in the previous picture, this really a wonderful addition to my collection.

WOW!
Very cool, I had always wanted to go to a comic con type show and now I will.
Nice job on the Fleer!
Successful card BST transactions with cbcnow, brogurt, gstarling, Bravesfan 007, and rajah 424.
That is simply....incredible! Congrats!!!

Not a bad day at the office.
Congrats!!! Wow!!!!
Going to do the rip thread in this one or start another one sir?
Nice box to say the very least.
Oh baby. Holy sweet 86'er. Congrats on that one.
Good Lord!!! Was that the case box from that NY find your box came from?
Also, did Steve include any of the provenance letters?
Yes, this box is from the NY find that was promoted at the National. Steve included a signed letter and a story about the find in the provenance. IMHO, only a FASC box can top the find. I really was lucky to get a box because they sold out fast. Again, I can't thank Steve enough because he really didn't need to hold a box for me. Class act. It came down to this of the Jordan gamer In Goldinauctions.com and I just wasn't 100% thrilled with the provenance on the jersey (unlike this box).
