the "bump" game

Recently I posted pics of my psa 9 jordan fleer sticker.
a few folks suggested that it could be a BGS 9.5 or even a 10 if resubmitted.

My questions are

1. How does the resubmitting process work? I assume people have been burned by it...
2. is it better to do it by mail, or in person (i.e. at a show etc)
3. How many times can you resubmit?
4. does it make sense to send in to bgs for a 9.5.? is that really more valueable than a psa 9?

This forum has been terrfic and I appreciate all the help!

1. I think you check off review on the subform and choose which service you're going with depending on the card's value.
2. probably mail unless you find another show they'll be at.
3. i think you can resubmit as many times as you want,maybe hoping for a different grader next time around. Someone else might give a better answer for this one.
4. crossing over to BGS with a bump up is tough but definitely worth giving it a try. i just checked to see what the last three BGS 9.5's have sold for and they were $4,938-$4350-$4150. You might want to give them a 9.5 minimum grade so they don't crack it then give you a 9 or lower grade.

Here is the exact link but if you want to look up previous sales,click on the "Advanced" link to the right of the Search button at the top right corner on ebay. then click on Find items,type in what you're looking for while also clicking on "sold listings". Then hit the search button and you'll get the sold results for the past 2 months.

If you see a listing where Best offer was used,click on it,copy the URL,then use this site below to see the exact price someone paid for that item. Its great when you want to see what previous cards/items have sold for.

Someone with more experience might give you a better answer but i would try PSA first if it were mine. I also just remembered this other site for previous sales that goes back farther than ebay"s advanced search,

If you can't get BGS to give you a bump to a 9.5, then I highly doubt psa would bump it. And I think psa is more likely to cross over a BGS 9.5 with strong subs to a psa 10 than bump a psa 9. So I'd go to bgs for the 9.5 and then back to psa for the 10. Just my opinion though.

What he said. Also, contact your regional rep via email before submitting to bgs. They do not have review advertised on their forms, but themmy do min grade reviews with an additional 3 buck crack out fee. He can walk you thru what you need to do before submitting. Derek or charles are the best.
