My National purchases and PSA subs
It was great being back in Chicago for the National (having missed my first in about 10 years when I didn't make in to AC last summer). Wonderful seeing and catching up with Mike, Eric, Kurt, Dustin (and making new acquaintances) at the PSA luncheon and the Net54 dinner on Friday.
Dropped these Heritage cards off at the Sneak Peek Wednesday afternoon (after waiting for almost 2 hours in the PSA submission line!) Didn't have any worthy, raw vintage to grade so I figured I'd jump on the bandwagon with a couple of these cards:
Here are the four cards I bought at the show. Very pleased with each of them, especially my first Ruth.
A couple of key rookies I needed - Kaline from TripleS and the Spahn from Jeff Foy (Card Country):
And finally, the Ruth (from Brady Hill, Luckiest Man Sportscards - probably the most impressive booth at the show in terms of pre-War quality, volume and "wow" factor) and the E95 Plank, since I'll never own his T206, from 707 (bought at a surprisingly fair price!)

Nice haul. The Kaline really pops with vibrant color.
Great centering on the Ruth.
Great cards as usual Andy! Always a highlight for me, seeing what is in your PSA box

Andy, as always you have a great eye. Nice pickups. Unfortunately I had to cancel my trip but it looks like it was the usual great time.

I love the Plank, but the 3.5 looks generous for four rounded corners.

Sweet looking Kaline rookie and the Ruth looks better than a 3 to me. Congrats.
Wow Andy!
Incredible. I'm liking the Kaline!
AWESOME pickups Andy. Love that Babe!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Some nice pickups, Andy. I really love the Ruth.
Congrats on all your pickups.

Kaline looks better than a 7 to me but not seeing it up close it might be right.
Andy, awesome pickups! Glad you found room with Mike, Eric, Kirk and Dustin at the other table up front. We need at least two tables these days for all the CU guys going to the luncheon.
