So these survived the trip back to MIA
I promised a few of the guys I would post the rips. This thread is going to go on for awhile as I'm going to take y time savoring the rip!
It was a blast meeting up with fellow CU board members and ripping 79 wax at the BBCE booth.
Didn't plan on coming out of hibernation with my rip posts but hey if PackGeek can do it, so can I!

Where did you find those loose wax packs? I didn't see those years at bbce? Nice assortment...can't wait to see the 75s
The 1973s came from Floyd at Lets Play Ball. The 1970 came from Terry (1NeatStuff)'s buddy. And the 1972s came from a nice older gentleman and his wife.
First to go will be the 1973 wax. I suspect they are the dreaded 4th Series as were the ones I bought from Floyd last year when he told me the same story that they came from a box OKed by Steve.
Wow nice selection...best of luck!!!
Yes, the dreaded 4th Series. Really like the Valentine but there appears to be some discoloration on top.
Nice rack
Did not know you were from MIA - what part? You can probably guess which part I am from by my screen name
Lol. Not too far away - Downtown / Brickell. Used to live by Dadeland when I was going to UM!
Double post
In Series 4 you take the HOFers you can get.
Wow, we need to push for the national to happen in Miami!..Heck, I'm a bit further south, but it sure would be nice to have one of these conventions closer to Miami! The last card show we had in Key West that I went to had all of 3 dealers!..And one dealer sold his inventory to another dealer!...
I remember back in my military days (stationed at Homestead AFB down on Card Sound Road), when Dadeland Mall was the best place to go!...The Falls was for high end ritzy folks and Cutler Ridge (I always forget to call it by the new name) wasn't bad either (this is the 80's before Andrew).
Work in progress - Unopened Racks/Cello/Wax with star power for Baseball, Football and Basketball
Collecting unopened 80's boxes and graded packs
I may be hoarding too much 80's junk wax but I like it!
Definitely need a show down here.
The Foster card has always been a favorite of mine. I got excited when I saw it lol.
good luck with the rips can't wait to see the results
collecting RAW Topps baseball cards 1952 Highs to 1972. looking for collector grade (somewhere between psa 4-7 condition). let me know what you have, I'll take it, I want to finish sets, I must have something you can use for trade.
looking for Topps 71-72 hi's-62-53-54-55-59, I have these sets started
A brief sojourn...Topps was giving away these cool redemption cards with purchases of 2017 product. This one is a beauty refractor. Pic doesn't do it justice. Numbered to 10. He's supposed to be legit.
Pack 2

The biggest lesson I've learned in this hobby, and in life, is that if you have a strong conviction, you owe it to yourself to see it through. Don't sell yourself, or your investments, short. Unless the facts change. Then sell it all.
Also Series 4. While pack #1 appeared to be on the high end of the crap series 4 spectrum, pack #2 appears to be on the low end.
Great looking cards Nikklos
Thanks! If nothing else they are definitely sharp
Thanks for sharing the pics, Chris! Good luck with the rest of the rip!
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
And rounding it out
Let's hope for better results as we go along!
Hey Chris when are you going to bust that 1970 i am dying to know what's in there ...nice seeing you again....
Hey Terry I was going to do the 1972s next but for you I'll switch order and rip/post the 1970 tonight! I want to save the '69 cello for last.
Thank you for sharing.

Gum protector - I love that about 1970 packs!
That wrapper variation should contain high series cards.

4th series!
A PSA 10 Sporting News AS card would be nice...Palmer is probably best base card in that series.

Centering isn't horrible for 1970. Horrible is when every card is miscut.
Ok we're getting somewhere.
Hiding in the back room @ work looking through this lol...love the 1970 pack! Wishing you the best...
Had to be the worst centered card in the pack...
Chris ... best of luck with the rest of the RIPS. Looking forward to seeing you hit something BIG!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Not too shabby!
Beautiful view of the Bank of America building for all the MIA peeps as I get set to take the next pic.
Buzzkill
Wild guess of next 3, Yankee Angel, padres

Unfortunately Tim it's not even a $20.00 card in 9. Here's hoping Chris hits a BIG one tomorrow!

Here's the way I look at. Ripping baseball cards is the only thing I enjoy that I can get some money back for. Never got money back from a woman. Never got money back from drinking and eating. But Baseball cards I can get some money back for. Lol
