Modern baseball wax rip - Looking for opinions

My buddy and I are heading to Chicago for a few days for the National. After the show, we would like to rip a few modern baseball boxes in the hotel room.

Any recommendations on year and product to look for? Especially considering strong rookie classes in particular years? Looking to spend between $75-150 per box.

Any suggestions?

I like 2015 Bowman Chrome baseball. Nice mix of inserts and prospects.

The biggest lesson I've learned in this hobby, and in life, is that if you have a strong conviction, you owe it to yourself to see it through. Don't sell yourself, or your investments, short. Unless the facts change. Then sell it all.

Very much not an expert here as I'm a 70s/80s unopened collector.

That said, I only just started collecting modern and only buy the 2017 Archives and Heritage products. They are both awesome IMO, but I really don't have a good idea on the value of the cards. I rip it with the kids, mostly looking for Yankees, with the obvious focus on Judge. Hobby boxes have drifted above that on Heritage and are right there on Archives.

Conundrum - Loving my unopened baseball card collection....but really like ripping too

I would suggest steering clear of 2017. Judge hype has made box breaking overpriced. With that said I agree with Spin 2015 BC is good and regular Bowman has some potential Happ or Benintendi monster hits and those boxes are only at $70 right now. Good luck in whatever you rip.
