pcgs ms67 1983-p quarter. Very nice coin, I paid $3410, will take whatever I can get within reason!

This was pop 5 from 2002-2013 and was the #1 on my want list. It's not just a gem condition rarity but an overall mint state condition rarity. There were no mint sets in 1983 and very few rolls were saved due to the down economy and coin market at the time. Original rolls today are nearly non-existant, and are over $1000 if one is ever found (and usually don't even contain a gem). I probably would have paid $5K+ for one of those first 5 if it had come up for sale and been true to the grade.
In 2013 a 6th (so so one) was graded which I did buy for about $2500 and later resold for about that. #7 and #8 were graded in Dec 2015 and at least this one looked very nice so I did bid up to $3410 to win it. I seriously was going to return it if I didn't think it was super duper but I did end up really liking it. As luck goes then I got another just about the same, just a touch more to my liking, a few months after. Now the pop is up to 20 but I think my 2 are two of the best of all the ones graded since 2015. The luster and strike are incredible for the date. The marks on the face are tiny and need a glass to be seen. The fields are ultra clean.
I'll consider any offers within reason and I'll take anything at all in trade, pcgs mint state 20th century, as long as I don't already have it. Thanks for looking!

Nice coin!
I knew it would happen.
Boy , I wished I saved gem clad coins from the 80's instead of spending them. Wow.
