Actually getting in early now since the wife can't make it due to work, so me and Jr will be there Wednesday thru Saturday. Will post photos from the National with updates, and with the new CU board process it is much easier to do photos - no more photobucket! Let me know what you guys want to see.

My son Ryan and I will be there Friday. Not sure how we'll know the guys here from the board but we're not shy so we will be the guys circling the booth asking if you're part of the forum. Feel free to look at us strangely when we ask.

We'll have to meet up - you can my "guest" - not date.
I was surprised to see the 89 hoops and 90 fleer boxes there. I wonder if they had any there last year? I'm thinking last March, geez a case was like, what $100 for 90 fleer? And to think the 89 hoops boxes are almost equal to the 90 Fleer? That's crazy from a year ago (before the explosion)

Hey Manny, will be there Wed-Sat night.
Any chance we can physically restrain CpaMike and force him to open a 75 Rack with Seaver on top? Between my size and your police technique, I think we can. LOL.
Ya might have to fight Tim (Grote) also?
Nah, Tim is weasling out again.....LOL. Besides, Tim would be fighting to open it.
Evening men. Attended the peek today. Talked to Steve about what may be available for a break. See 1st post. Might be tough to get one going with what he has. Great seeing a few guys there today--looking forward to the meet tomorrow
Hi Manny and rest of CU Forum! I am down for some of this if it lasts until the designated time frame for those of us not able to make the National. BTW, I want to go on the record as saying the wife simply thought it was inexcusable to go to ChiTown for cardboard and leave her to manage the 1, 4, & 7 yo on the homefront. Go and figure :-)
The pics have been simply awesome. Thanks to all who contributed.
Conundrum - Loving my unopened baseball card collection....but really like ripping too
I think ripping a box or two (or three) sounds like an excellent idea. I for one would be thrilled to open my packs at the booth. Was there today and there is some really sweet stuff to see - Maybe tomorrow I will remember to take some photos!
Bump to remind everyone that tomorrow's meeting at BBCE is 11:30 am. See you then.

Hi fellas- I ended up making a last minute decision to fly out for the day. Arrived Friday am at 5:30 on the red eye from Seattle and flew home at 8 pm.
Didn't have a chance to meet up with many folks but did see Terry and sold him a stack of graded 75 minis packs including one with Brett showing on back. Also spent some time talking to Evan and admiring his amazing 52 and 53 Mantles.
I picked up a few loose packs for ripping and this box of 1987 Fleer Basketball from Steve at BBCE, who was really great to meet in person after all the years of buying from him.
The highlight for me was getting a serious bump with an onsite review of my PSA 9 1966 Topps Ernie Banks that I bought from PWCC. I'm a huge fan of the HE designation!
Probably skipping Cleveland next year, but will be back in Chicago in 2019.

Curious as to what years those football wax cases were of and if we may want to organize group breaks on any? Perhaps David can chime in.

Wow, great bump. What's the VCP on the 9 vs the 10?
Thanks! Last Banks 10 sold for $9k 3 years ago. I paid $1600 for the 9. The 10 is a pop 3.
