If you were in charge...............

Hi,

Gonna vent a little, and this is not a knock to the great folks at PSA. So if you were in charge of the set registry program and you continued to get hundreds, maybe thousands of certification removal requests on a weekly basis, how would you make the program smoother? Hopefully cutting cert removal requests by 50% or more.

It seems I've had a run of bad luck in that several cards I've purchased over June are registered to another members set. Yes I sent the required Email with no luck, meaning I have to scan and fax copies of the cards to PSA (which takes time). Again with the numerous requests PSA gets everyday to have cert #'s removed, maybe PSA could put the hammer down (especially repeat offenders) with some kind of progressive set registry penalty system? I understand things happen in everyday life but I would think PSA would know what account(s) are generating more work for them on more than one occasion.

Long gone are the 1-3 business days of cert removal. I know this is will never happen either, but wouldn't it be great if auction houses, and the big guns on Ebay ensured that before they accepted a consignment the owner had to remove the cert # before sending in for consignment. Ahhh, Ok enough dreaming for me. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks,

Matt

  • 2 minutes to take picture front and back. Psa set registry responded in a couple of hours. BOOM
I was able to load my cert. But I know what you're saying. 3 business days for these deadbeats to respond. But kudos to psa imo after the 3 days.

You said fax copies of the cards, but you probably meant attach the scans to an email. Nobody faxes anything anymore. I agree the three days should be one, but the folks at PSA are very quick after the "cooling off period."

Well...I've had only two issues over the many years I've been associated with PSA. I decided only Joe Orlando could help me...I got my facts straight, double and triple checked my position and called Joe. He was very accommodating, willing to listen and my issues were resolved. He didn't personally take care of things, but he assured me it would be passed on to the right people in PSA, it was and they agreed with my position...problem solved.

While venting here is a natural thing to do, we have no authority or power to fix the cert issue to describe. I'd give Joe a call...as memory serves, Monday's are meeting days, but other than that, I'm sure he'd take your call.

LOL! No I faxed them copies. Guess I should learn to attach scans to an email! Sounds much easier>

Good advice! I'm on business day 6 for this batch of cards. I'll try and be patient!

I'm confused. Don't you usually send me stuff by telex? Or hire a street urchin to hand deliver it? "Here child, I'll give you tuppence to deliver this. Off with you now, before I strike you with my walking stick."
