Question re using Gavelsnipe with Canadian eBay sellers

BaltimoreYankeeBaltimoreYankee Posts: 3,025 ✭✭✭✭✭

How does Gavelsnipe work in this situation? An eBay item will have a current bid of 27 Canadian and will show the approximate US equivalent under it (say $21 USD). The bid field is in Canada Dollars. On Gavelsnipe, it is asking for your USD bid max. However, I came across one item that was currently at 61 Canadian (47 US) and when I tried to enter a snipe of 55, it said I must enter more than 61, even though it says USD on the Gavelsnipe site.

I believe you have to enter the Canadian dollar amount for the snipe but that it will convert to USD when the bid goes off.
