How do we determine current market value of cards that aren't in the price guide?
I've been watching some auctions and buying here and there for a lot of cards that aren't in any price guides I can find. I have nothing to go on other an arbitrary BIN prices that the sellers set. Most are within a few dollars of each other. I'm especially trying to price 2010-current Refractor cards from Topps or Bowman.
For instance, just bought a 2010 Bowman Chrome Derek Jeter Blue Refractor #147 /150 PSA 10. There are two others graded 10, one for BIN $149, the other for $99 BIN. I ended up winning the auction for $27 which sounds like a steal. There are ungraded examples of the card on eBay now for $39-50 BIN. I have no idea what the PSA 10 version is really worth.
So how do we estimate card values on newer cards that aren't in the PSA price guide? Are they found elsewhere?

The PSA guide is useless. For modern look at previous sales ending prices on eBay. For vintage there is always VCP which as many will point out is only a guide but it's a good starting point.

I highly recommend VCP. Price guides have no value whatsoever. It's all about prices realized.
It's a little out of my price range unfortunately to join for the year
