Hi guys...first post on this board....started collecting at age 5, till my early 20's, late 70's--> early 90's....stored everything, then had my ENTIRE colletction stolen, including Gretzky and MJ rc's....destroyed me and i lost all desire to continue....
However, I have recently in my early 40's gotten the bug again after a 'find' (Lemieux, R.Henderson grd9's!)...and I'm looking to grow my collection again!
my question is: where is the best place/resource to buy sealed, authenticated boxes of unopened cards? looking for '79 football, '86 football, a few others...all feedback very welcome!

Just getting back into it, why would you be looking to buy sealed, authenticated boxes of unopened cards?
Not sure where you could find those? Do they exist
ebay
Man are you old!
Hi Dino
Welcome!
BBCEx is a really good source IMO. Anything with their sealed logo is considered reputable.
Since you're getting back in the hobby, I do have some simple advice.
Establish as narrow a "focus" as possible (so you don't run around trying to corner the market on everything)
Establish a "budget" (then there's no waking up - screaming into the night)
Never break 1 or 2.
If you're considering opening old wax to find gems? That will be a good discussion.
Me? I think it would be fun but potentially a big gamble.
Good luck and don't be a stranger.
Establish a narrow focus? Mike, you're collection is as diverse as it gets, LOL..
I echo bbcexchange as a solid source for unopened boxes.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
Hiya Tim
I'm better at giving than taking advice.
Plus, not trying to corner the market. Just a small portion of it?
Agreed, my friend.
BTW, meant to type your above, not you're.

No problemo Amigo.
This is not a test - no extra credit for spelling.
hahahahaha...I meant i collected the late 1970's cards through the 1990's, LMAO!
awesome feedback guys! thank you...I have started collecting my "all time " running backs collection, already have a few...and also my first true love, a high end 1980 Topps baseball set...and I love the 1957 Topps baseball set too....aahhh, here we go...
Wish ya luck Dino.
Again, IMO, from experience, don't go nuts.
Collecting is way more fun as a marathon rather than a sprint.
