Anyone buy raw from the Battersbox and get card graded?

Does a BB NM/NM+ give me a shot at a PSA 8 ? Nice centering and corners look sharp, what would you grade

    Haven't graded anything from BB
    But that looks miscut to me right off the bat
    Edge nicks and that dirty back corner gets me thinking a slider 7

    I am thinking a 6. The corner on the back and looks like a nick above the A in stars.

    Has a nick in the top right edge. a psa 5 at best.

    I have bought from them before and got something graded, but I sent in several of the same card, so I'm not sure which one was theirs.

    Why would you think that a card they have graded as NearMint (which is a 7) to NearMint plus (which is a 7.5) would grade an 8?

    I would buy that card with the expectation of it being an ExMint 6 when I got it in my hand, and would only pay accordingly with that expectation.

    The card certainly looks like it would be an acceptable NM to NM+ type card to a raw card collector. You could certainly dig up pictures of cards in 7 to 8 holders, that while technically graded 7 to 8, would not look better when compared in hand. An example would be the 8 currently listed if you're just into the number 8.

    Anyone know what name Battersbox sells their graded cards under? Right now BB is selling 206K cards. none PSA graded.

    It reminded me of a seller in SCD - Polo Grounds: "cards so clean, you could eat off them"

    Old school at best. A Nmmt - by today's POV? Exmt at best.
