If you check cert numbers around this one - you'll see someone submitted a mess of Bench cards - some with lesser grade like 8 - I'm guessing this may be a flip typing error?
I would guess this is likely a mechanical error and should have been a 9OC.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
In looking at those two Bench cards, I tend to believe the slabs have been compromised. They just look like they've been opened and the cards replaced.

No, that was an actual PSA f-up a few months ago. There was a thread about it here at the time it happened. The card was immediately returned to PSA and they corrected it.

I'm with Mike on this and think it is a flip error.

with the exception of the centering, the pen mark, the other mark and the soft lower corners it's not such a bad card.
Ultimate fail.
Most definitely.

Here is another one from the same seller. 1975 PSA 10 Bench. Pretty weak looking 10.

The 75 Bench is an 11 next to the one in the OP.

This reminds me of a 1968 Gibson that was in the era of the grading of this card. It was graded 'MINT 7'

IT CAN'T BE A TRUE PLAYOFF UNLESS THE BIG TEN CHAMPIONS ARE INCLUDED
