Brady is not young (fortunately)
With that said - always bkball. It's a global game and Lebron will be a top 5 all timer
I'd say Brady, imho high end football rcs hold their longterm value better than basketball but you're talking about arguably the 2 best players ever at their positions for their sports so you can't go wrong with either. I was lucky enough to have my favorite football team land Brady which had me going after his high end rcs long before they were at the levels they are now price-wise. I'm also a bit biased seeing i'm a Pats fan.

Brady=GOAT
Sure, if GOAT stands for Good On Awesome Teams
The two have played professional sports for more than 30 years combined in the modern era of collecting. I'd day anyone who wants their cards has one or ten by now. The jumps in prices due to the last SB hype wont last and it would be dumb to buy Brady at this point in time, imo. LeBron probably has more fans given the worldwide/Asian popularity of the NBA and I'd look for his cards to retain value better than Brady. But I doubt you'd go wrong holding onto the cards of either.
I actively collect Kirby Puckett. I have collections of Michael Jordan, Emmitt Smith, Roberto Clemente, Dwight Gooden, Tom Seaver, Errict Rhett and Evan Longoria.
Not a fan of either of these guys. As far legacy, Brady all the way.
Lebron has lost more finals than he has won. 3 wins, 5 losses. Ouch (and a Ray Allen shot from being 2-6).
Brady is 5-2. All done with one team. All of his SB wins were really close, but on the other hand, take away the NY Football Giants, and he could be perfect.
Easy to make a case Brady is GOAT. I am a niner guy, so Montana's perfect record goes a long way for me. Lebron will never eclipse MJ. I don't even know that he has surpassed Magic.
Not sure about print runs and all of that, but I'd lean Brady if dropping big dough.
@epatmythes didnt lebron go to the Heat the year after they won a title without him?? Brady is unarguable the greatest QB EVER
They hadn't won in awhile, the Heat won their championship with Wade and Shaq 3 or 4 years prior to Lebron joining the Heat.
To the OP's question it really depends on if Lebron can win a couple more championships. If he can't, Brady all the way. If Lebron goes to the Wizards or some other team that hasn't sniffed a championship in 30 plus years and delivers another championship that could all change.
Successful card BST transactions with cbcnow, brogurt, gstarling, Bravesfan 007, and rajah 424.
The Heat won their 1st title in 2005-06 while Lebron's 1st year in Miami was 2010-11

What is going to happen when a 42 year old Brady wins a SB with the Chiefs?
He'd match the one major record that Peyton Manning has on him by winning SBs with 2 different teams as starting QB.

The thing with Brady, I really thought his rookie cards were done from an investment perspective YEARS ago, but the darn things just keep going up.
I never thought a PSA 9 Sp Authentic would ever go higher when it hit $1k, then it hit $1.5k, then it hit $2k, now it's exploded to $5k+. PSA 10s? Forget it. They're worth more than most people's cars now and I thought they were done when they hit $2-3k. His cards, like the man himself, has been counted out several times and both just keep going. A PSA 8 Championship Ticket sold for a whopping $20,400 over at Heritage a few weeks ago. Given the history, I will no longer say there's no investment potential for Brady cards. They (and Brady) seem to defy logic for some reason.
By way, on the topic of defying logic, who would have ever thought his 2002 Sp Authentic would be worth more than $2 a piece? I had 5 of these is a junk pile before this year.
Yeh, but how many legitimate, verifiable purchases have occurred at those levels? A few maybe? I'd suggest that these prices have more to do with "PSA low Population" claims rather than a general demand for Tom Brady cards. I agree, those prices defy logic, but for different reasons!

I sold off some of my Brady BGS 9 rcs the 2 weeks after the SB and got returns I never thought i'd get. I thought I did great on his 00 Bowman Chrome Refractor BGS 9 for $3200 then a couple weeks later saw the same card in a PSA 9 go for $9100. I only paid a couple hundred for the card & grading around 03-04 but still I was kinda bummed I hadn't held out another week or two before selling it.

Answer to first question... NO.
I assume you mean unarguably... actually, there are probably about 100 arguments that could be made for Brady not being the greatest QB ever. Respected, competitive, accomplished, decorated... absolutely. Unarguably one of the most celebrated face-of-the-franchise players with multiple championships in the history of the NFL... sure! Greatest QB ever... that's a freakin' joke. At best, he's an above average QB who's been extremely blessed to be a part of some of the most talented and well coached teams in recent league history. He consistently takes pay cuts to stay at the helm of such teams, and hell, honestly, I can't blame him. He could have left in free agency many times and gotten a contract that pays 2 to 3 times what he makes... but he's not stupid. He knows his chances of winning would be greatly diminished, and I also think a part of him knows he'd end up being exposed for exactly what he is... average! He may have more rings then them, but he is not (and never will be) a better QB than the likes of Montana, Marino, Elway & Manning (and probably several others). Championships are important, especially for quarterbacks (ask Marino)... but it's not the debate end'er everyone thinks it is. Charles Haley also has 5 rings... and I've never, ever, ever heard anyone even attempt to suggest he's the greatest defensive player of all time, let alone even the greatest linebacker or defensive end.
LeBron has global appeal, Brady does not. Not even sure Brady has country appeal, Manning did, and you are not even mentioning him.
People are dreaming if they think LeBron is better than Jordan, but he is this generation's best player.
I'm not a fan of either, and am not buying their cards. If I had to, it's LeBron.
As other's have stated, LeBron James because of his global appeal and Asian popularity.
