"There's only 2 MS66 1923-S Peace with 1 at MS67"
Are You Sure?
Can we have all 3 in the same location at the same time?
How do we know it isn't 0/1 where the MS66 was cracked to same grade then cracked to a MS67? Or 1/1? Or 40/0/1 because it downgraded and just won't upgrade despite PCGS grading the same coin 40 times.
Pop reports would improve if all coins went secure. This won't fix past issues.
Even pics on the cert page might indicate better pops on high end coins. (and the potential scope of the problem)

If everyone just turned in the old labels like they know they should, life would be so much better.
Later, Paul.
Well, we all know the deficiencies of the pop reports, but for many coins, that's all the data we have. Have any been cracked-out without being carefully photographed or cataloged? Yup. Probably.
Regardless, in the other thread, my point that the coin being marketed on TV wasn't likely to be a 66 or 67 is still valid.
Interesting! Population reports are inaccurate for the most part.
We know it. We use 2/1, too.
Auction houses publish these comps with their descriptions.
Even "none finer" might often need to be qualified with none graded finer or none known finer.
