I can just deposit cash from my bank account to buy on Gemini, or sell Bitcoin and send the cash back to my bank.
I bought one Bitcoin a few months ago at 2.5K with play money out of curiosity. I'm astounded by what's happening. Since I don't have any pressing need the money or for the original investment, I'm just letting it ride.

Can you sell a fraction of your bitcoin?
YES! That's the beauty of it. All cryptos are fractional currency. Some up to 18 decimal places. I sold .18 Bitcoins last night for USD. I'm holding that cash on the exchange to buy back on a (hopeful) dip. Or, I could've transferred the cash to my bank account, much like you do with money on Paypal.
Bitcoin fractionals are out to 8 decimal places. (.00000001).
So, if you wanted to buy $1000 worth of Bitcoin at $15,000 BTC price, you would get .06666667 BTC in return to deposit into your Bitcoin wallet.

Whenever you want to I guess, You can buy stuff with Bitcoin, or just cash it out for fiat and have it deposited in your bank account. Or buy silver and gold with it thru a dealer that takes cryptos. If you're very conservative, cash out your initial investment and let the rest roll.

Yes. I know a fellow who bought a physical Bitcoin when Bitcoin was $100. He paid $150 for it. (2013)
He wanted to trade for 24 ounces of gold a while back. Bitcoin was at $52k this past six months and had gone up to $60k +.
My CFO ( and wife) said "no". I passed. He used it with an online gold broker and received 220 tenth ounce gold coins ( eagles and maple leaf) plus $400 face value in Walking Liberty halves. He purchased the coin in 2013 for $150 and Flipped it in '21 for $52k in silver and gold.
I purchased some Crypto through Paypal, $100 each of Bitcoin, Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash, collectively it's worth $231.21. This probably isn't the way to expose yourself to Crypto, just wanted to dabble in it. Are the recent events surrounding Evergrande going to impact Cryptocurrencies?

The volatility is there, for sure. If you can stand the volatility and risk of total loss, cryptos are still a possible speculative bet.
I knew it would happen.
