Need Help ID of Japan Stamp

Could anyone help with the identification of the stamp shown in the photos ? I believe it is from Japan but I am not an expert in this field. If you could provide the Scott catalog number that would be greatly appreciated. An estimate of possible value would be helpful as well if you can provide this.

    Definitely Japan.

    While I don't know the date, I am thinking around the turn of the 19th Century (1900-ish).

    10 Yen would have been quite a lot of money back then. It was a rather large gold coin, not silver or copper.
