Something fascinating about salvage metals. This is a particularly nice example, forged from the metal of the Frankfurt cathedral bell.

    That's really interesting! Can't fault the Germans as being wasteful.

    I have a Brass 1916 German Imperial E. Africa 20 Heller coin, whose source of material was from spent English cartridges, and also from a melted 4.1" brass gun that was taken off the German cruiser, "SMS Konigsberg," which was scuttled.

    I thought this would go nicely with your thread. Condition isn't the greatest; but, the history is pretty fascinating when considering the scrap metal source.
