Congrats on a very cool pick! Don't know if the error adds or detracts from value. Certainly there are those that are interested in the dual error/variety coins!
I dunno. To me this looks like RDV-5, normal reverse.

Im not seeing the "flared G," but it could just be the glare in your photos.

Here's another image of the FG

I'm going to take some images of the clashes ( markers ) .
I'll post them sometime today ...
Here's all the Markers for Die 1, Stage C .
I only shot one image of the Date, which covers the Die Scratches in front of Date,
Die Clash in front of Neck, Die Clash in front of Date .

Here's an image of Die 1, stage c .

The one I have is a later die state then stage c .

The polishing lines are amazing, even around the FG and here's a full shot of that area .
Also, pay attention to how long the top bar of the " F " is .
The 88 is a lot smaller on the top bar of the " F " then the 89 .
Here's the cropped image .

I don't even know why the mint would strike a coin, with this late of a die state .
my best guess would be, stage D at the earliest ..
I think a little bit of everything, effected these dies .
