J&M 1975 Republic Nat'l Bank of NY Gold Bar low SN
"This Gold bar was made by Johnson Matthey for Republic National Bank of New York and originally sold to investors after U.S. Gold restrictions were lifted in 1975. This Gold bar is an excellent way to diversify ones portfolio with collectible bullion."
This would've been the "first edition" gold available to the public in 1975. Serial number 001892. There are no hits or scratches or anything that detracts from this bullion. Its mirrored finish is stunning. It doesn't slide around in your palm like a bar that's been stacked. The edges are still very fine and sharp. It's in stunning condition. No nicks, scuffs, scratches outside of obvious shipping and handling in its initial years. It's been in the same holder and envelope as it was in 1975.
Completed and current auctions, websites and pricing put it between 1650 and 1700. First $1550 paypal gift gets it with free shipping and you'll have room to make money (or keep it). This is the lowest SN I've seen. The one up on the bay now is SN#011790, and others I've seen are all six digits.
I may have SN 001891 or 001893 somewhere, and when I find it, the buyer of this will be the first I contact so you have a shot at owning consecutive sn's if that's your thing.
Here's a shot of it with old silver, lustrous silver, red copper and toned silver.
One last set of honest shots; there are no other issues with it than those you can see here (not glamor shots).
