    Me too. But only the fresh gum in packs at the time that just left the ricin like powder which could be wiped off. The gum though that remains in older unopened boxes that by now has soaked through two, three, or more cards in a pack is Satan.

    grew up in 80/90s.

    was never into the gum.

    but the smell of a freshly opened pack of fleer ultra or stadium club is an entirely different story!

    In the 70's I always looked forward to the gum.

    It's been now over fifty years, but I still remember the rich, wonderful taste of the stick of bubble gum that came in the wax packs of the 1964 - 1966 Philadelphia Gum Football cards. Oh, that was good gum. I was more familiar with its regular trade name--SWELL. Good name, this. Very appropriate. The gum stick in those packs had a film of powder on it to prevent the gum from sticking to a card, as most of you probably know. ---Indiana Jones (Brian Powell)
