I think I'd be wasting my money on that. They're BEAUTIFUL 9s, but I can see what's keeping them from 10s. Plus, with the c***shoot that is grading, I'm not looking to get downgraded to an 8
On a side note, VCP on the Montana is near $12k and has been hanging steady for the last 3 years or so. Even though it is an iconic HOF RC, I just can't see it appreciating much more than that especially in the short term. Walter Payton's rookie has followed the same pattern and has held at 15k, though I would expect a wider margin since the Payton is a Pop 49 vs a Pop 91 for the Montana.

I soooooooo hope you are one that doesn't look at the grades online when advised the sub is done.
The greatness of doing the card in hand back view, then slowly flipping the card over while ensuring the thumb covers enough of the top area of the card to mask the grade, allowing you to simply gaze upon the card for a bit prior to seeing the actual grade.... THEN.. the steady slide of the thumb to the right of the card had to be cool when seeing the G on this one. Would have simply freaked. Congratulations on that Montana 10 !
Massive congrats on the Montana.....just curious...how much did they come back to you for? I assume you sent in at "regular" sub pricing....did they ask you for more $$ after getting the 10?....curious how much in these situations...

I haven't looked at it closely enough yet after everything came back ; in the pile with everything else. Hoping it's "pressed" from a screwdown.
This was a bulk submission order. Paid $6/card. The order was mainly done in order to send in the Topps Mexican and Joans Basketball cards, as I was able to get PSA to add them to their database for the first time. The Montanas, Fleer, Pokemon, etc. were kind of throw-ins from my "to be graded" pile that added to those sets to make an even 200. I was not contacted for additional insurance beyond what I had already paid.
No, unfortunately I'm not patient enough to know the grades have popped and wait for them to come in the mail. But, I look at seeing them online as two thrills. One when you see the grades, another when you see the card in the holder.
Really appreciate your interest! I honestly have no idea what I'd want in value for it, but candidly I think it would be pretty high until I understand how many of them exist.

I'd almost think the altered stock on the Jordan RC was their nice way of saying...
"We're not going to hold up a 200 card submission because of one card, but we're also not going to grade a Jordan RC for $6!"
Call me naive (because I often am), but I didn't even know submitting the Jordan rc was an issue at all. I didn't know what rules applied to bulk orders I guess.

20 business days. Which was ridiculously impressive to me given the fact that they had to create 4 new sets in their database. I worked directly with Jackie, so she may have sped up the process more than normal.

He knows I did well on them, but I didn't boast to him about what he didn't do. I told him I did well and sent him more money after the grades popped as a bonus. I think we're both happy, which is the way it should be.
