My scanner won't scan 1988 Canadian bills

I have a new Epson Perfection V800 Photo scanner. It's great...except that as I am trying to scan 1988 Canadian $100s, it is warning me about counterfeiting, and not completing the scans. Any workarounds? Thanks, Dave

Lots of scanners have issues w/ modern notes. So frustrating!!

Problem is not with the new notes, it's the scanners. Manufacturer's have been forced to incorporate fail safes into their machines to not allow counterfeiting. Or for that much, just simple copies. Older printer/scanners have no problems at all copying or scanning new notes.

Use an older scanner. I have an older HP and an older Canon as it's backup.

I've gone down to Staples and some of their outlets will even refuse to scan large size bills. Weird legalistic rules without real world application.

Thanks for the feedback. Will go find a good, used scanner.
