Has anybody noticed all of the 1960s counterfeit star cards being sold as "reprints"?

I am building a 1965 Topps set, and I am seeing several counterfeit cards being sold as "reprints". One seller is selling counterfeits from all years. Here is his listings...
There are many more than this seller selling similar cards. I saw a few star cards from 1965 Topps from trying to build a low to mid grade set.

Certainly is scary. I collect coins as a hobby as well and counterfeit coins (raw and slabbed) are a very big problem. Hope this problem does not become encountered with the same frequency.
The people who sell these things should get ambushed with feet activated ketchup packets by a flash mob.
My two cents, I bought a reprint 1966 Topps Mickey Mantle just to see if I could tell an original from a fake. This reprint was made from a plastic material that felt nothing like the original card and the picture of Mickey was darker than the original. EVERYTHING else, back and front was the exactly the SAME. Nowhere on card did it say reprint.
lmao

Deceptive listing. No mention of reprint in title or description - says instead that he was told it's a reprint, but he clearly knows it isn't real because it's obvious he is the one making them.
It's too bad you can't pay with reprint cash for these cards. Just make sure to include the following.
*US CURRENCY!!! CURRENCY HAS SHARP CORNERS AND IS WELL CENTERED! COMES IN A SCREWDOWN HOLDER. LISTED AS REPRINT UNDER THE REPRINT CATEGORY. GOOD LUCK!
They do look real..yes kinda scary.
By a few and ask if you can pay other than paypal....then send him monopoly money

per scans, they are better reprints than most. slight creases and all.
someone should go thru and buy all of them. make him send them out. and return them. but not under the notion of them being reprints, but rather reprints that are not as described.
"listing stated this reprint was nr mt, however these reprints clearly had spider creases, a folded corner here and there and a few of them even had slight stains that werent accurately described and more severe than stated."
everyone knows i like my reprints crease free.
btw: the screwdowns are a nice touch. and fitting.
Want to see some really good looking "reprints" ? Go to Etsy.
I would think Topps would challenge someone who copies there copyrighted material and resells for profit. while it is not necessarily counterfeiting, it is still illegal.
To be honest, no direction, but...

Which is a huge financial boost opportunity for the grading companies. Authentic uncertainty helps the bottom line.
He's selling a 67T Rose - reminds me of Pawn Stars where a guy came in with 5 mint beauties and Rick told him he thought they were copies and the guy was indignant.
I just filed an Ebay report saying that all of his listings have misleading titles. Hopefully it will work.
Somebody really ought to buy every one of them and then file a claim just to inconvenience the seller.

This thought and the fact that card manufacturers don't aggressively pursue such has lead many people to theorize that its the card companies themselves responsible for "fakes", "reprints" and "counterfeits". Its very likely many card manufacturers ran more copies of card lines after the original printings once they became hot, and they probably don't want to bring anything about "reprints" into the legal world knowing this could come out in a lawsuit. While they have the right to run as many copies whenever they want, it would completely destroy their credibility and call into question any "limited run" products they manufactured.
Its well known that Upper Deck essentially doubled the print run of the inaugural 1989 baseball series due to demand, and it is believed Star company ran more copies of the 1985 Bulls set in the early 1990's. So it wouldn't surprise me if brands such as Leaf and Bowman did the same thing when the 1990L and 1992B series took off(just two examples). And don't even get me started on these supposed "sealed cases" that have allegedly been "sitting around" for 20, 25+ years.
I actively collect Kirby Puckett. I have collections of Michael Jordan, Emmitt Smith, Roberto Clemente, Dwight Gooden, Tom Seaver, Errict Rhett and Evan Longoria.
It's not just 1960's. it's a widespread epidemic thought most decades
