You are lucky.i asked at the bank about obtaining some new pennies,2017-D's,maybe a box of 2500.Was told they never get quantities like that of new pennies even though the Denver mint not that far away.Go figure.
Better odds if the bank was located in a high traffic and commercial district. These two boxes I got were in Long island near shopping center. However, back then when I was working by time square NYC, near all the rolls/boxes were brand new uncirculated, except quarters. My stores only exchange around a couple thousands dollars a week, unlike others such as restaurants that used up thousands a day.
