Yea, not too crazy about that reaction either.
My favorite: the earlier DC Oregon commem 50c piece that appears in hand as a matte proof. On vacation now, so no picture.
I also like his recent 1848 CAL $20.....
Love that Milled British (1830-1960) Well, just Love coins, period.
While not rare by mintage numbers, it’s one of only 3 I have ever seen. I fell in love with this one the first time I saw @Bullsitters. Unfortunately…it has toned along the rim and has an unattractive appearance now. I’m always checking eBay hoping to find one in an ANACS holder, but the owners of these are holding on to them.
1st Moonlight Mint Error I acquired ten years ago.
Having specialized in Error Coinage for at that point 3+ decades I have been drawn to the odd & curious.
I was over the moon to meet Daniel at Denver ANA 2012 & purchase two autographed COA errors from him.

Neat coin and image of the host coin's mintmark.
I had always preferred that DC would document what year and mintmark the host coin was before being overstruck.
After DC gave me the 'nickel tour', he gifted me this 1932-S 'multi-struck' Buffalo when I visited the MM back in Sep. 2020. Had it graded since, MS67 - the label reading, "Flipover Triple Struck".

All are over-struck on genuine US Mint Native-Head/Bison nickels. A few were broad-struck and/or multiply struck with moderate shift between strikes.

For clarification, the tour was anything but 'nickel' - it was at least two hours long, detailed - even got to see what was behind the secret door - just fantastic. His passion for this venture is self-evident. Thx again Dan.
I buy direct or on fleabay or a local coin show where typically, 3 or 4 dealers stock Carr items. Seems a lot get sold here on buy sell forum. I did that once with great success, but I routinely do not browse here.
Never sold a Daniel Carr item. If I think I need an item with great images and feel good with purchase price I buy it. Thats also the approach I use when buying error coinage. I can find more items to buy than budget allows so I limit my shopping exposure.
That all said, what do you have you may want to rehome ??? I have found items at coin shows can be quite appealing due to limited distribution and some dealers paid scrap melt prices to obtain them.
coinsarefun, I really like that 1792 Chain in that grade. Bullsitter's is very nice too. I wish I had got a 'circ' spec, my unc looks too good to be true.
Gold chain cent ... mintage = 6. 1964-D Peace Die Pair 8 Circulated ... mintage = 8 (I have another even rarer Carr to pick up later today and will post.)
2021 Moonlight Mint Open House offcenter overstrike of a 1921 Morgan Dollar. Not listed in his production blog, yet here it is. Best I can tell, it's 1 of 1.
I think I would have to send that slab back to ANACS to get the insert to reflect the host coin details, namely that it was an Uncleaned 1884-S
If you sent the Flip in with the order, I would think that would be a goof up on thier end, so they may re-holder / re-attribute it at no cost.
Customer Service has been good to me , I would call them to see what they can do...
I can talk with Paul at the next show we are both at. It is not a huge thing as the label is categorically correct but it could be updated. Might call in advance too.

I ran everything by Daniel Carr. It is all correct and verifiable. So I am good. A label update would be nice but not entirely necessary. Thanks for the nudge on it though.

Love the Colorado Springs Coin Club tokens. The solid gold one above is awesome.
Might have to get me one of the brass tokens....
Well, I don't think it's rare but it's mine.

Mintage of 10...one of my favorites.
Back in the day when COAs included final mintage:
Okay, sidebar question. What is the best venue for buying/selling or even figuring a price on some of these? I've been curious for awhile.
