With the centering being off and the print issue on the left side of the card I think getting a PSA 7 would be the absolute best you could do and I am not even sure if the centering is good enough to avoid the 7 (OC) qualifier.
This baseball card reminds me of the days when as a kid you would find out that not only is one of your favorite players a star baseball player but he also operates a sporting goods store in the off season.
Do not send in
Cost of grading is probably worth more than what card will be worth.
74 is not old for a Ryan, oc, , print marks and at least one corner is nicked.

Why do guys come here asking for opinions and ignore everything that they are told. As a 6 with that centering, this is a $10-12 card.
Geez - cut the guy some slack. Not all of us are "flippers" looking to make a quick buck. Some of us like our cards in our PC and want to protect and enjoy them. What is wrong with the OP asking the question, looking for opinions., etc. even if he knows what he wants to do? I don't get it.

If that's how you roll, you shouldn't need grade opinions from others either. Just sub what you want.

Guess I don't recall ever asking for your opinion. If I do, I won't expect a reply since it would be a waste of your time. Roll on!

This happens at shows all the time. I have people ask my opinion on a price of a card, I tell them it is too high and they buy it anyway. People ask if a card is real or not. I tell them no it is fake and they buy it anyway 100% of the time.

It's only a waste of time when all opinions are disregarded, as happened here.
6 is about right for this card. If that was what you're looking for, more power to you. Personally, I'd have held out for a better centered mid-grade example. At least you didn't lose money submitting it assuming you sent a bunch of other cards in on the monthly special.

Congrats on the submission...and at least we got to see the new psa hologram...is there anything else different on the reverse side of the holder? i wonder why they felt this is a better hologram...hmmm
Interested in higher grade vintage cards. Aren't we all.

Maybe you just give universally terrible opinions, LOL. I can totally see that though - happens all the time. "Do you think I should touch this hot stove? No? OK, here I go touching it anyway..."

PSA 5 or 6 oc or 5 or 6 pd.
Don't do it...
Straight 4.
I put Nolan in Jordan territory so am a little biased. That's an early Ryan so thou must submit it and get the 7 (OC) or the no-qual 5.
I just actually looked at the card, on the computer screen, and used a loupe.
No idea if what I think I see is real but still seemed to work
Absolutely not
Put the money you save by not submitting into a better version.
I don't think it is worth submitting as I don't see this card getting anything better than a PSA 6.

Can't argue with the duck.
I wouldn't send it in.

PSA 6.

You should start one of those trade-up threads, with your goal being a 1952 Topps Mantle.
Some folks just get luscious for the strangest things. Million Card Update Guy would be doing backflips over this score.

Thanks for the update. Pretty much what I expected, but as long as you are happy with it that's all that matters,
