Have 1795 -1890 rare ,rare condition coins dropped or remained steady in past ?

Another thread mentions a 225 year old MS coin that is going to be sold .That coin has stayed level in price going back to least 2002.... Is this the norm now for pricey, rare coins not to have gone up much in value over past 15-20 years ?
Not the multi Million dollar coins ,but coins say under $ 250,000
