edited title...also if anyone who knows what it is has an idea of what value please let me know!

Im honestly not even sure if it is US or not, but figure someone here would know. It is pretty worn so may be difficult to figure out.

Canadian Blacksmith token. That long curving die crack should be enough to identify the type, to someone who knows the series (not me). Try in the World forum?

There's a Canadian Blacksmith expert that used to hang out on here, if it is you may have a mini-score.

Maybe re-post with that in the title.

From the link above looks like you have a Wood 23, intermediate state.

Next time you come out to the shop, you can look at my 7th Ed. Canadian Colonial Tokens (W.K.Cross)
This struck by Daniel and Benjamin True of Troy, N.Y. about 1835 for export to Canada.

Here's a neat little group of (mostly) imitation Blacksmith tokens, acquired from a dealer friend with ties to the northeast. These were part of moderately large group found in a box in an attic in an old house in Connecticut about 5 years ago. He let me sort through and pick a number of different varieties, shown here:

Walkerguy - those are all known as Tiffen tokens catalogue # LC48 with over 40 varieties catalogued by Greg Ingram in 2004.
