Just spoke to George, and he's doing well under the circumstances. He's in good mood, but bored and restless. I didn't tell him about your well wishes because I know he prefers not to be the center of attention but I'm sure he'd appreciate the thoughts. And, since he likes his privacy, I would be reluctant to offer any more details or updates.
George is truly one of the good guys -always had time to talk to me at shows and remembered my collection well even though I was hardly a big wheel by Legend standards.
Hoping for a full recovery.

He is doing better and is out of ICU. The Dr.s have said he suffered an acute heart attack. Most likely caused by high blood pressure -which does run in his family. They are still having problems controlling his BP, but they feel he is recovering ok.
Tomorrow he is being moved to another hospital tomorrow to have a difficult stent put in. He is expected home by Thursday.
Plaque buildup in heart arteries can be diagnosed with a a "fast catscan" of the heart. I have this done every 5 years or so so that I know if I have any blockages developing. Cost is usually about $500. Better to know if a stent is needed before a tragic event. I think that this is about the amount for a high end coin submission fee........and all of you are high end.
We have been emailing and he's SO HAPPY to be home and feels blessed. Dodged a serious bullet.
