GERMAN STATES - Frankfurt - Leopold II (1790-1792) AV Ducat. 1790. LEOPOLDUS II•ROMANORUM IMPERATOR, laureate bust right / FELICITAS PUBLICA, altar. 1.8g, 23mm.
This is a coin I had previously discussed in this forum. Never really had a definitive answer, so I sent it in across the street.
It is a 1790 Frankfurt Ducat and they slabbed it as a Silver Off Metal Strike, MS-62. Just wondering if anyone else has seen or owned one of these?
The following information came from 3Mark in my previous post: It is PN60 and looks ok to me. I have one slabbed. KM-277 is correct. This are not really patterns, but off metal strikes given out at the coronation of the Holy Roman Emperor in Frankfurt. The rarest ones were struck in copper. Thank you 3Mark!
