I was thinking of having my 1993 Finest jumbo All Stars set custom framed...how should I do so?

Several years back I was lucky enough to get a complete set of 1993 Finest Jumbo All-Stars (plus the three 1993 Finest promos)...and then a few years later I got the 1994 Finest Jumbo All-Stars set also (probably even tougher to find). That being said, I was thinking of having the 1993 ones custom framed. How should I do so? Anyone here who's had multiple cards custom framed know how it should be done?

This one was custom framed by the most obvious choice on this board:

Reality is though, the parameters of the card fits absolutely nowhere in 'the room' or closet boxes, to where if I ever acquire another non standard size baseball card such as this it will be will be sold immediately or given to the dude that mows lawns here.

I would check with a local art store or art college student for ideas/suggestions. The art store may have some leads or a bulletin board where you could post your request for some advice. Or they could propose a mounting idea that you may not of thought of that appeals to you and do it for a reasonable price. I've done some amateur card/photo mounting for my own collection. But for higher end presentation/resale I sought out the pros. Good luck. If/when you get it done supply the thread here with the finished product. I'm sure all would like to see it. BTW I only was ever able to find 1 jumbo Finest. 1994 Winfield.

Do you know how much that would cost in grading fees? Not to mention the card doesn't even fit right :(

For now I got the cards in penny sleeves and top loaders...they look nearly flawless as far as I can tell and I'm quite proud to own both sets because they are super tough to find as complete sets...I believe for the 1993s only about 1455 of each card exists? (you figure 4000 cases x 12 boxes each (one per box as a box topper) divided by 33 cards in set.

I would still steadily get these graded and encased. Custom framing ain't cheap either. Either way if the large size fits your collecting goals, it would be badass to have a big wall display of 'em. Good luck

I had the whole set of 93's graded years ago when "oversized" cards were included in one of the $5-$6 monthly specials. 10's got a real nice premium, Ryan sold well even though it was a 9OC, The others sold at prices pretty much comparable with cost of acquisition + grading. Overall it was well worth it.

Always looking for 1993-1999 Baseball Finest Refractors and1994 Football Finest Refractors.

I only have a few of these but agree they don't seem to store easy. I noticed that a modern comic book bag fits the case just about perfectly, so I was thinking about getting one of those shorty comic book boxes for any cards that hit the super-size holder. I believe it will work perfectly.

In addition to how much the grading fees would cost (I'm sure it's probably what, around a few hundred dollars? There are better things I could do with that...such as getting a NRMT+ 1974 Topps set without the big cards (I already got those in PSA 7) and getting the remaining (mostly) commons for my 1975) and they'd end up just "hidden in a box" anyway like they are now. I think someone here awhile back once said I may end up with the highest graded set on the registry or something...what good is that if it's only by default?

The custom framing seems to be the best bet...if I ever get around to having the chance to do so. :(

Estil, you should get prices of grading versus framing. Maybe you can catch a monthly special if PSA runs one for those size cards. I think you are under estimating the price of having that set custom framed. It will not be cheap by any means.

Perhaps but I figured it'd be more enjoyable that way.
