Frederick II - Ducats and Talers

I'm curious to know more about the coinage of Frederick II. Specifically I'd like to know what the first coin he was featured on is.

A few examples I see in auctions:
1740 Ducat - From wikipedia I guess Ducat's were used as currency. This isn't some modern day thing right?

1740 Silbermedaille - I ran the word Silbermedaille through google translate and it came out with silver medal. Is this currency or some sort of medal? If it's some sort of medal it seems to have an identical cast as the ducat above which was curious.

1750 Taler - Seems to be a more mainstream thing, though I thought I remember seeing some smaller denomination coin in the past. Maybe something from 1743? Anyhow is the 1750 taler the first one?

Thanks in advance for any insight/comments.
