Centering Chimera Found

So for the longest time, two cards in particular have proved to be such toughies to find centered. And they also suffer routinely from printing and focus issues to boot. Talkin' bout the 1957 Mantle and 1976 Brett here.

I was shocked when finally saw a truly centered 57 Mick the other day— and focused with no PD, too, which is pretty clutch! First such specimen I ever encountered and real happy to bring it home. This is the only picture I have at the moment, and it's a crappy one, but here they are...

    That brett is so nice.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

Congrats. Where did you manage to find both? From the same place?

Thx, fellas! The Brett was a raw buy from dealer. Mick was on the bay.

Nice cards, two of my favorites and yes both a real pain for centering and print quality. So what's the grade on the Mick??

That's kinda the best part; I always figured when the dream eye appeal example 57 Mick surfaced, it would wind up being a high five-digit 9. Turned out to be a 2MK for barely $100  From a casual distance on my desk, the 2MK simply looks better than my old 9 LOL!

Congrats on both cards. As usual, diamonds in the rough. It looks like the same guy who films UFO sightings too the photo of that Mick. LOL.

the 76 brett. and one of the few examples in which a player's second year card can cost more than the rookie in higher grades:

Ok, I'll play. Not too hijack the thread. Yes, I love the low technical grade, high eye appeal Mantles as well. Brett is such a tough card

Thanks, it does have a spider crease in a corner and a bit of snow, technical vs eye appeal . I will take this one vs a 85-15 technical 7 at 2K

The Brett I have subbed for review and really thought it was 8.5. Did not make the cut
