First ever R.O.Y. (!) in the American League. Great seasons include his 1957 year when he was voted third in the MVP race. Had very similar seasons in '60 and '61.
As a 1963 Topps collector, his #283 is an extremely difficult card to find in a high grade.
Baseball Reference has an similarity score for each batter and look at his fellow sluggers that he was nearest to!
Greg Luzinski (943.1)
Vic Wertz (938.3)
Rocky Colavito (931.1)
Boog Powell (924.3)
Joe Adcock (918.7)
Willie Horton (918.5)
Ron Gant (913.9)
Jack Clark (913.7)
Jermaine Dye (912.6)
Rudy York (911.6)
Lots of my favorite bombers on that list!

Roy Sievers Topps hobby mystery. Is there or is there not a variation to his 1962 Stamp (Phillis v Atletics ) ? It is listed in many older guides but I have yet to see it. Anyone ?

Wow 90....I'd take that. He had a good life. RIP.
My dad watched the Senators during this time era. He said the team was terrible but mentioned Sievers as an exception to that
That was a nice article, thanks for sharing the link.
RIP.
