1943 Wheat Penny ?

Is it real genuine 1943 Penny? I have had many coin dealers tell me no and cant give a reason but then say its a novelty what do you want for it. Magnet will not stick. I used a earth magnet and the "3" in the date looks to me to be spot on and was not manipulated from a 1948. Thanks

Not only does the color look wrong for a coin of that age, but the date doesn't look correct either.
