How billionaires continue to get away with having tax-payers to pay for their stadiums is beyond me. It's just another example of how backwards American "culture" is.

They tell the vassals that it is a tax on hotel rooms. ""Heh heh, the other sap gets hit with the fee.""

Any decent economist can explain why that is a fallacy.

Except Vegas is a pretty unique place. People, at least now during good economic times, do not seem to care about hotel taxes, resort fees, etc.... They just keep on going there as prices go up, up, up and spending more, more, more. Once recreational pot is available on the strip it will be even bigger destination.

Place was not so unique for a few years after 2008. Town got slammed.
