AU58 on type coins/Greysheet

Have others noticed on the weekly Greysheet the type coins with associated pricing on AU58 grades? How accurate are these? For example they list Bust halves at a little over $800 in AU58 and $550 for the late date turban heads.

They are the best in the business in wholesale pricing / wholesale price guide - read how they develop their bids and understand the relationship between blue and grey. They serve as a basis for retail pricing, many of my items priced at cdn plus 50 pct. But to answer your question try match the cdn bids with dealer retail prices in CW, NN, and online sites and you can gauge their markup factor above bid.
What is the basis of your question - do u feel those prices are too high or too low? There is a very strong market for slabbed AU 58 Barber, Seated, and Bust material and I get strong retail for it at shows and online. Prices are going up in this high demand hot market - time to buy is now before prices go higher.
Often the CDN will reflect upward market movement before the retail price guides catch up. Conesquently sellers like myself will raise prices accordingly.
Most dealers I have pointed this out to didn't realize they were now pricing AU58 type coins toward the back of GS with circ. and MS pricing. Everyone noticed it on Morgans, but not a peep on Peace dollars yet.
