Whatever it is? probably not a form of payment?

whatever it is, I have no idea. received it as part of a small collection.
Hopefully someone can shed some light on it.
Tried to test for silver and Platinum. both negative
any info and help is much appreciated

    Sewing related? Looks like a spool of thread up near the top/right, and a needle on the top/left (bracketing the 'No.').

    It looks like a vintage comparison chart to recommend various needle and thread sizes. It may have been attached to an older sewing machine or sewing kit.

    Thank you for your ideas. It sounds very possible. My thoughts were very biased because of my professional past. I was thinking electrical wires etc....
    But looking at it , I am sure you guys are "more" right. sewing thread spool... needle...sizes.
    am going to search for a "sewing" forum (on a rainy Glenmorangie / Fireplace Saturday afternoon day) as I want to seriously find out what it is. Just for fun.
