Staring out the window
Oh, mail delivery, why won’t you deliver.
My nerves are a shaking, I’m starting to shiver.
I stare and I stare, to no avail.
Wondering and waiting, for that package of mail.
It’s a coin don’t you know, so shiny and bright.
It’s Proof 69, to my hearts delight.
From eBay it comes, oh how I can’t wait.
Did you hear that big noise, it must be my freight?
The dog is a barking, my wife gives a stare.
Oh, how could a man, trip over that chair.
Out through the door, and down to the mail.
Running and tripping, it happens without fail.
No package, just letters, I must be insane.
For waiting and waiting, when It’s all just in vain.
